Rough Start...

You see, starting a new business is never like starting a new car; your new car will run when you turn the key, but your new business is going to sputter and spit grease for a while. So I'm using a whole roll of paper towel to clean up my pride and march forward.

Rejected: "Thank you very much for applying to be a part of the Winter 2010 Beehive Bazaar. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate you in the show this winter." Not once, but twice: "Thank you for your application to our Bijou holiday market. Unfortunately, you have not been selected as a vendor for this market."

Soldiering on. Plenty of people love my stuff. It would have been easy to build a clientele this way, but I'm not defeated. The next market is in spring, and I have other ways of selling off Christmas merchandise before then.

Lady Luck and I met in our freshman year. We met during pledge week when she was doing the most embarrassing stuff to get into Alpha Chi Omega. I've got photos of her doing belly shots off of the water commissioner, so she owes me big. Lady Luck is on my side.
